Top 5 News and Magazines Apps on Android in the Middle East Q3 2021

The third quarter of 2021 saw varied performance for the top five news and magazine apps on the Android platform in the Middle East. Here’s a detailed look at their weekly downloads and active user trends.

نبض Nabd - اخبار العالم ، عاجل, published by Nabd Ltd, experienced fluctuating weekly downloads, starting with 20.3K at the end of June and dropping to 8.7K by the end of September. The active users also showed a downward trend, beginning at 456K and ending at approximately 403K.

Twitter Lite, from X Corp., had a more stable performance. Weekly downloads ranged from 3.2K to 8.8K, peaking in late August. Active users remained relatively steady, fluctuating around the 15.6K to 19.8K mark throughout the quarter.

USD Market by Magenus Apps saw a significant increase in weekly downloads in mid-July, reaching up to 17.8K. Active users, however, showed a declining trend from 202.9K at the end of June to 183.8K by the end of September.

Breaking News: Local & Alerts, published by SAFE APPS, had relatively lower download numbers, ranging from 2.4K to 6.1K, with a peak in mid-July. Active users hovered around the 40K mark, peaking at 46K in mid-July before stabilizing around 42.7K by the end of the quarter.

Lebanon 24 - لبنان 24, from Lebanon24, showed a notable spike in downloads in mid-July and early August, reaching up to 7K. However, the numbers declined sharply to around 100 by the end of September.
